Talking How dooo!

Hi all,

My name is Ian, im 26 - From Merseyside and have only been driving a year lol!

I traded my 54 plate clio 1.0 in for a brand new 08 plate sexy as hell Millano Red Type R GT.

Just coming upto the 3k milage mark now, and I can already feel and hear a difference. Every day it just gets sexier and sexier!

This is how much a noob i am: I only just realised you could turn on the i-vtec dash light a few weeks ago

So why am I here?

Well when i baught the car, I said to myself - its nice enough, dont get into the whole boy racer thing and start kitting it up...

3 months down the line, I saw a black or bronze if you want to get technical Type R with the Type R badge on the grill....

That was it! I must have one haha!

Searched ebay and other sites and couldnt find the same badge...you can get close matches but, I dont want some true civic junkie driving past thinkin "look at him there with his fake grill badge" lol

By fluke - I found Civinfo....its a tresure trove!!
I cant stop readin topic after topic haha!

Ive already placed my order with Holdcroft_Honda and im looking forward to pimpin my ride haha!

I did somthing terrible today tho - i scuffed an alloy getting out of a parking space - god no!!! So now im after some new alloys...

Looking around everyone seems to think the Rage 18" are the way to go, but I dont know...there are some sexy as hell alloys out there.

My head tells me to wait till i need new tires and get a job lot with some new alloys, BUT I want to stay true to the Honda Type R image...and with not knowing a great deal about the world of Type R I dont know which wheels I can get with the red "h" on or weather its just somthing you can stick on to any alloy.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers guys and gals

Hi and welcome to civinfo.

Why not get the wheel repaired, it'll only cost about £50.

But if your heart does get the better of your head, then there are lots of aftermarket wheels out there for the Type R. You can buy the red H stickers on here to apply to the centre caps.

The grill badge can be a little awkward but it's not too bad and the side decals are easy just take your time.

That's the only problem once you decide to fit aftermarket wheels, there are so many to choose from.
