Smile Hello from deepest darkest Wiltshire

Hello one and all,

I've been a lurker on these forums for a while, but have only posted a couple of things today - Wheelchair quite rightly sent me in the direction of the 'Introduce yourself' forum - so here I am!

At the moment I'm an 05 plate Accord Tourer 2.2 Exec owner, and really like the car. I've done about 45000 miles in her, having bought her as an ex Honda management car with 5k on the clock.

It's my first experience of Honda and I must say how impressed I've been with build quality and customer service when compared to every other manufacturer I have owned (Ford, Peugeot, Citroen & Renault), although servicing costs are on the pricey side!

I don't need such a large car now as Mrs mistuk has a Ford Galaxy (which I really like) for carrying us and little Miss mistuk (who is also a wheelie user, Wheelchair) around.

I've arranged a test drive of a Civic diesel on Wed afternoon, along with 2 other cars - Ford Focus (cant see me having one, but really like the heated front screen - as a shift worker in the winter, that would be great) - also going to test drive an 07 plate Audi A3 2.0Tdi 170 Quattro - I've always dreamed of owning an Audi quattro, but am terrified by potential costs if anything fails.

What else should I tell you about myself....? I'm an air traffic controller and keen photographer / musician (but not at the same time!)

BTW -great forum - even if the tales of woe regarding paint / suspension / rattles have almost put me off buying one!

Welcome Mistuk,

Don't let the negative comments on here about the Civic put you off, it's a great car and the positives far outway the negatives.

enjoy

Hi and welcome to Civinfo

Have fun test driving the cars, won't you? Maybe even let us know what you think of each of them as in a mini review. It's always interesting to have other peoples perspective on other cars

Thanks for asking - little miss mistuk (aged 3 and a half) has mild to moderate cerebral palsy and epilepsy - she's coming on really well and is a delightful little thing.

Not going the motability route for the civic as we might need to use that to replace the Ford Galaxy in a couple of years
