Hello

Picking up my ex-demo Type R GT in a few weeks. Is it true you can get dealer fit HiD Xenons? My local dealer denies any knowledge of them.

Hi there all,

Welcome response guys. Looks like I'll be visiting Halfords for some superbrights/blue tint bulbs and save a few hungie plus avoid the pitfalls of warrantee invalidation and the police.

The dealer that got me hooked was a very nice bloke from EJ Darlingtons in Harlow. Unfortunately didn't have the right spec car on the forecourt, so sourced this Deep Bronze number from the north. I'll probably use one of the local dealers, Chelmo isn't too far from me either (lived there last year). Any feedback on the dealers??

Can't wait to hear the howl again, two weeks away

Inchcape in Writtle is excellent. I'm on my second Civic from them.

They are very helpful, polite and treat customers very well. They collect and deliver my car from my home when it needs a service!

Thanks wheelchair,

I'll consider them, think I've cycled past them before. Hopefully won't have to see them too soon. That checklist is very useful too, i'll be using that.

It was between that an the black, but this turned up first. I prefer it, but haven't seen what it looks like in bright sunshine. Though its possible I never will unless I emigrate.

It looks better than NHB in my opinion (my previous Civic was in NHB), there are some good pictures of it here......

Civic photos - Bronze - Civinfo Wiki

Not the same as real life but does give some idea.

I agree, I prefer it too, looks black but a bit more interesting on closer inspection. I nearly brought a black one which had a few stone chips, including one rusty one!

The one I'm getting had a few swirls under the fluroscant showroom lights which I'm hoping the garage will sort a bit with the pre delivery. Its getting supaguarded aswell, but it wasn't prepped fully when I saw it!

Here's hoping...

You can mask the swirls with a couple of coats of Bilt Hamber Auto Balm.

Also you can buy it direct from Bilt Hamber with a 10% discount.

Hi there guys,

Hopefully picking up the car on Saturday, looks like rain all weekend which will be nice.

I have another paint work related enquiry. The dealer is putting on the Supaguard protection, supposedly inside and out. My question is, how can I tell if they've actually done it?

My father had this on his new car, but the dealer only mentioned this just before handing over the keys. We didn't really care how good it was since we wern't paying for it. We just recieved a small box with the left over containers and the car was much much easier to clean, and kept gleaming.

However this time, its a deal sweetner, so any ideas how to be absolutely sure?? Should I stop being paranoid!?
