Goodbye Punto, Hello CTR!

Hi Everyone.

Just wanna say thanks to all that post on here, I've learnt to so much about Civic's and CTR's just from what I've read over the last couple of weeks... really helped with decision making!

I picked up an '08 Type R GT last week in N.H.Black. and the s*** eating grin can't help but plaster itself across my face each day that I drive this beast!
What a car.
Makes my 1.4 Punto feel like a milk float!
And a great time to buy a car too, as I managed to take the dealer down quite a chunk on an already lowered price. Thank you credit crunch!

Still getting to grips with the gear changes and the general speed of it - any good tips?
Although, I am trying to cage my boyish enthusiasms and back off the speed (potentially stacking and police radars are nagging away in the back of the mind), but I just can't help open that engine up! Loving the growl!

Trying to get my head around the auto wipers... I know I'm probably being real dumb, but they seem to do the opposite of what I'm setting them to... still none the wiser after scanning the manual - help anyone?

And does anyone know anywhere to get cheap 'Type R' mats from too??

Thanks.

Welcome to the place

That is some car upgrade I have to say . No wonder you are grinning all the time

You have read the wiki regarding running in the engine?Main Page - Civinfo Wiki Loads of good useful information.

Auto wipers are really good in my opinion, although you have to adjust the sensitivity a little sometimes.

crikey,a punto to a ctr, you're gonna have to learn how to drive all over again !! seriously just be a bit carefull to start with and enjoy.keep fiddling with the sensitivity of the wipers like happyman said and you'll find the right position for you

Woo hoo another NHB CTR owner. Too many Milano owners on here so welcome Babatungaz.
Pleased to hear you are loving the car. As for getting to grips with driving it just rev it hard - you will find it very rewarding . The gear box should be one of the best as long as it doesn't have the 3rd gear problem.

For cheap Type R mats try here http://www.civinfo.com/forum/gordons...ts-offers.html or ebay
