I am sure there is a lot of information on the I-shift on the forum. Have you tried a search?

Hi Daniel

I have an I shift 1.8ex and I must say I love it. My previous car was a automatic, so basically after a while you will find that in the most you will use it in Auto mode. But one problem is that when you are in manual mode and you need to change gear if using the paddles you will find that on corners or round-a-bouts you will find that the paddles have moved with the steering wheel and as such find it difficult to locate them, but like I say I am mostly in Auto mode and would find it difficult to go back to manual. I find that when I need it I have plenty of power when i put my footdown.

So enjoy

Welcome!

The Civic is one of the better cars I have ever driven. It is fun, yet economical and it looks damn good too

It's an early 08 January I think and it's black.
I'm trying to get the dealer to put a usb cable in it as I use my ipod a lot and parking sensors would be nice.
I used to have a c2vtr a couple of years ago which had the flappy paddle thing but on that car I'm sure the paddles stayed in the same position, I don't think it will matter as I also used to drive in fully auto unless overtaking which I won't be doing on roundabouts.
I can't wait to get it .

If anyone can recommend reasonably priced after market parking sensors please let me know. I was thinking about maybe Halfords as they fit them too.

Welcome on board !

Early Jan. 2008 ? It's a used car, or a brand new ?
How much did you pay for it ?
Have just been to my dealer this morning (France) and the price he offered me doesn't sound good to me
He told me an Executive 2008 i-shift sat-nav, ... for 25700 instead of 28700.
What do you think about this deal ?

I have a milano 1.8l SPORT I-Shift, done about 7300 miles, got it in april and i love it, you may find the ride is a bit firm, other than that, its a great car.

One think you might want to ask, is about the drive shaft, "heat treatment for outer driveshaft joint", as there was a recall on some of them a few month back, i am guessing early 08 ones.

hope you enjoy it
