Smile Hi, 09 SGT model arrives next week

Hello everyone.

I've been perusing your threads since ordering my new car. Very helpful and informative. I'm lucky to be getting an 09 facelift 1.8 Type S GT Sat Nav with I-shift. If anyone wants more info or opinions on what its like I'd be happy to help. Happy New Year to you all.

Welcome!

Another 09 on the forum!

Don´t forget to check out the Wiki section too, this is like a knowledge base or FAQ and contains the answers to many of the most common questions you may have.

You could maybe start with the FAQ about this forum page in the Wiki, it will provide a good introduction to this forum.

Good R&M data

Thanks for the checklist.
I've worked in Automotive manufacturing for 10 years, in the supply of machine tools for engine machining & assembly. Your list is excellent R&M data that I hope has found its way to the quality dept at Swindon, and that all the issues have been addressed with 09 model. We shall see....
I'll take your list and feedback any relevant info.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome, Good luck with your new car sounds like a really nice one.

BTW, if you don't fancy that new Type S grill, I'd me more than happy to swap you for mine.

Welcome!

I am sure you will find this site as useful as I have... Only had my S-GT for a couple of months but this place has helped me out on many occasions already!

Also.. very jealous of your car already... except it's not diesel

I'm hoping parts, such as the new grille, are available soon and they fit my 08 model!

Yes please-what's the auto like around town and what's the effectivness of the paddle shift like when overtaking/on open roads etc. Also, does the car feel like its got power in reserve driven 'normally'?
