Talking Hi all! i-CTDi 2.2 ES

Hiya!

Just bought the i-CTDI 2.2 ES has a first car over 100.000 miles and I'm starting to think the prev owner didn't treat it very well...
You shall probably see me around trying my hand at some DYI (mirrors aren't autofolding, getting an AUX/Bluetooth set up going, checking the EGR isn't clogged).

Starting to think I may have made a mistake... Any encouraging is welcome.

Cheers.

Welcome to

The 2.2 is a good solid engine and they usually benefit from a good service.

The 8th gen Civic gas a few issues but then which car doesn't.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Hope it is just a good charge which is required.

Negative off first , then positive, then charge it up.

Keep the key out of the ignition at all times until reconnected battery, (my imobiliser scrambled itself and had to be reprogrammed even with the key in my pocket so i am now very cautious to reconnect the positive first then the negative and not to cause any sparks on the re-connection).
