Hello Civic World

Hi all,

I'm hoping to buy a facelift MK8 Civic 1.8 Auto (not i-Shift) in the coming weeks and thought to create an account here.

I've owned a MK7 1.6 in the past but that was only for a few months as a stop gap. Here's hoping that the MK8 will be more long term

Hi

Good choice! Owned ours 5 years (car's 10 years old). Smooth and pretty effortless with good standard of equipment.

Mechanically, if ours anything to go by pretty well bulletproof reliability wise. Check fuel consumption figures in case not up to scratch (worth bearing in mind an alternative make with better figures, should the vehicle at some point need an expensive repair, any savings could potentially be wiped out)
