Hi all

Hi just bought my first Honda civic its a 1.8 i-vetec Se major millage as it was a lease car but got service history and had it for a lower price its an 08 (feb 09) registered car. Firstly love the car every time i look at it i go hmmm lol but a few little problems are comming to light.I have a months warranty on it with only a week left but not sure what the warranty covers. The issues are the sub frame knock when braking and then when pulling off hand brake when on a hill creaks like its straining and a friend of mine managed to move the car when hand brake was up while on the flat by just turning the rear wheels by hand. Also might be my imagination the clutch peddle seams to sort of click now and again. It does have a new MOT on it with an advisory for rusty back brakes.Sorry for long post but got a short time to sort this out thanks.

Somebody put a thing on here reference the knocking noise there's 3 bolts you remove either side of the front wheels either the bushes there need grazing or replacing cheap and easy. The clutch clicking it might need replacing. Welcome to the forum.

I have thought so as they were meant to have sold you a sound motor if the clutch needs doing maybe they should, its not to say they will though, just harp on at them and get them to check it out.

Thanks for the link seams like that.Hopefully they will do this under warranty but have since heard some not to good things about the garage (not a Honda dealership) and with the other issues as stated above may try to fob me off.Have checked on Hondas main site if the car has had any recalls done as says all is ok.

Just say your going to seek advice on consumers rights if they don't sort it. Those bolts underneath are easy enough to do yourself though. Theres a link somewhere on here that a member has added that gives a guide but its pretty simple anyway.

Does it click halfway down ? If so it just needs a dab of grease in a tactical spot but if its at the bottom of the travel then it may be master cylinder fault
