take into account the insurance and MPG, if this is not a problem for you go for a type R , if it is try an type S.

Hey man,

I recently went for a 1.8 Type-S myself. I would have loved to have gone for a Type-R but didn't feel I could afford it due to the lower MPG than the Type-S and the higher insurance.

My insurance went up 15 a month on the 1.8 Type-S and would have been an extra 30 if I had went diesel (2.2) and even more still if I had went Type-R.

Just depends what you have to play with on a monthly basis for running costs I guess. The Type-R is a beast though

Type Ris nice and quick..

Or get the 2.2 Type S.. Still a fair amount of poke but many many MPGs

Can get them mapped to 190+ bhp too.. Not too shabby thats for sure

Welcome mate.

If insurance and forking out for a touch more fuel then go for the Type-R for sure.
