Well after some last minute thoughts today, though this mainly comes from where I found the car (Arnold Clark) I decided to cancel my interest in it. A little closer to home I've been offered a choice of two 59 Plate ES's in Red, and Silver.
The red comes with the parrot hands free kit, and rear sensors and only 19k miles with being ex mobility which I can have with a bit of haggling for £10k or thereabouts, it's going to be on for £10,900. The latter has 5k more miles, and is on for £10,500, but has no hands free or sensors, but is just along the road from me whereas the red one is in York.
Now looking around there are some other EX GT's around but a bit of a drive away, upto 200 miles in some cases. This is very much the model I want, but how far is too far for distance?
I'm sold on red for the car, just seems to suit it more, but have read some informaiton from the wiki thats its also the weakest of the colors for the car?
So is the EX GT really worth the trek to get if I can get a good price for it, and what is a good price?
The car I lost out too in York was a 2010 plate EX GT with 42k miles on it and was selling for £10,900. Looking further about the country there is a red EX GT on there, looks to be an ex company car as its a 2010 plate with 60k on the clock but I think its a bit over priced at £11,950, drawback with that is its 260 miles away.
A little closer (130 miles or so) I have a couple of options in Albastor Silver, and Polished metal, the other half prefers the silver and with her being chinese is against red at all costs
So my questions are, how far is too far. And from a dealer, how much is too much and whats right.
The latter two cars mentions are on 30k miles on 2010 platesat 31k miles and 31,526 respectively.
