Question Mystery Alarm !!!!!

Hi guys,

Can someone tell me if my 57 plate SE comes with an alarm???
I just changed the stock head unit at the weekend to a Pioneer FH-X700BT, get to work, and an hour later my boss comes over and tells me my car alarm is going off. To which I reply "I don't have a car alarm" BUT to my surprise I go out and the hazards are flashing and the horn is beeping!!!! ***. I've had the car for 5 years and not once heard an alarm. Could I have installed the new head unit wrong ??????? Please help!!
Cheers

Chris

Yes, you have an alarm. It's a basic one, the ES, EX and GT spec Type R & S also have an ultrasonic interior detector.

Your Pioneer should affect it, mine doesn't.

The standard alarm is a siren not a beeping horn

Thanks.

It's definitely got one, as I just set it off by locking the doors whilst in the car and tried to start the car. It also a siren not the horn!!!

Thanks again guys.
