Xcarlink satnav disc spinning/reading

Evening all,

I only found this forum after purchasing my 08 Type R with satnav about a month ago

With some research, I decided on the xcarlink with Ycable and fitted it with the ace guide available on the wiki section.

Straight after fitting however I noticed that the disc in the sat nav changer in the glovebox sounds like it keeps reading the disc, on and off for between 1-5 seconds at a time.

Its one of those things where I dont know if this is a fault or not. Ive only had the car around a month and never really listened before so the noise could have been there beforehand.

Is it normal for the sat nav dvd to read the disc when Im only listening to music?

Cheers for any help
