Connecting a amp to factory headunit

Hi what do I need to fit a amp to a factory headunit and where can I get the items from help grateful

If the amp does not support high level inputs then you will need two LOCs (Line Output Converter), one for the front pair of speakers, one for the rear.

If you're feeling adventurous I seem to remember a guide on here that mentioned the internal solder connections on the stock unit to use a pre-outs.

As above, i got as far as testing the amp all working fine with LOC install but then couldnt find a route for a power cable from the battery to inside the car!

I just drilled through in the passenger footwell and used my own grommet. It seems in the later years there is no grommet as standard in the passenger footwell, but there is still the marking for it, and a cut-out in the soundproofing material.

Not sure about the CTR, but in the 1.8 CTS it's a large empty space, nearest things are what I think are the air conditioning pipes, but it's unlikely you will hit those.
