Hello,

I want to fit AUX cable to my 06 civic and I've found this cable on ebay just for 6 pounds… Will it fit? Will it work? Does anyone have any experiences with this?

thanks

Get an X-carlink or what I've got (Yatour), mine does produce a slight buzz which changes in pitch with the engine revs though when the music stops, not sure about the X-carlink however. These also allow you USB connection to your CD player.

Do you require a Y cable to fit a yatour if you got satnav in car thanks

Yes, you would also need a y cable with the x carlink too.

I bought one too like this one

Aux Adapter Audio Cable For IPod iphone to Honda Accord Civic Honda CRV | eBay

but i can't seem to make it work, I have plugged it in the Grey input behind the stereo and when i press the CD/AUX button nothing happens. Can anyone help me please.

The ebay seller said that some Honda civic needs special confirmation inorder to make it work and was so nice to give me a full refund and told me to keep the cable.

Please help!

P.S I have Honda Civic 1.4 56/2006

The one in mine is called a yatour, works perfectly fine and is around half the price of the x carlink. You can plug an aux input into it, a memory card or a usb stick. Like the xcarlink you will also need a y cable if it's used in conjunction with a factory fitted sat nav or cd changer.

Yes, some dashboard disassembly is required, there's a thread on here somewhere. Just take a look in the how to section under in car entertainment.

That is correct, the y cable is only needed to maintain the functionality of your sat nav or cd changer. There's only one port in the back of the stock head unit so the y cable sort of acts as a multiplug, and gives you two ports.
