iPod / iPhone

I have a 2008 ictdi and it's got a basic head unit what is the cheapest/ easiest way to get iPhone / iPod connection to it there is no USB connector in the arm rest

xcarlink which i had and it was a decent little unit but didnt display track names which I wanted so i got a parrot mki9200... thats a good little unit which also is a hands free kit.. any questions on either kit mate just ask I fitted them both

Does the iphone 5 work with the type R hands free via bluetooth ? Been trying for ages and having no luck. Am I missing something?
