Radio "news"feature

I have the "news" feature selected on my radio, which is quite handy I find (when it works). However, sometimes I don't want to listen to the "news" and want to return to a CD I was listening to, another radio channel or my iPod. I can't however work out how to return to my previous audio selection. How can you cancel the "news" feature when it comes on, without turning off the radio completely.

Does that make sense? I hope so....and I hope one of you has a solution too.
