Connects2 and Satnav voice

Took the plunge and fitted the connects2 box in satnav car - wasn't too difficult - went for the option of not buying the Honda loom and 'bodging' the wiring - i.e. connnecting the 3 satnav pins to the wires on the connects2 2 box.

Seems to all work, except that I don't get any satnav voice instructions unless the stereo is switched on. Anyone any thoughts on this - have I messed the wiring up somewhere? Other than this it all seems to work.

Dension Gateway 300 and Satnav voice

Hello everybody,
sorry for my bad English.
My car is a Civic 2.2 i-CTDi TypeS with Voice Recognition Factory fitted Navigation System.
Using a "PIE 2003 Honda "Y" Harness", I connected to the radio a Dension Gateway 300 device and I have this problem:
The car is able to recognize the voice control, but is not able to answer and to speak if the Radio is turned OFF. Also the Navigation System is not able to speak if the Radio is turned OFF. If the Radio is turned ON there are no problem. If I remove the Gateway 300 device the problem disappear.
I have updated both, Radio and Gateway 300 firmware without result, now the firmware situation im my car is this:
Radio Firmware: 0621 01 (RDS improvement).
Navigation System Firmware:
Program Flash : 1.56.00F
Program Disk : 1.56.0000
IPL : 0.312.000
APL : 0.310.132
DBOOT : 0.310.132
System uCom : 0.985.000
Model : SM GA
Dension Gateway 300 firmware: G3AB2.08
I know that in Italy one person has the same problem with an originally Honda MP3 player analog imput device (I am not sure but I think that is a Connects2 device) so probably the problem is in the car side.
It could be interesting know if the problem exist with all type of devices (originally Honda or not, connected to the CD changer connector) that share the pin BUS+ and BUS- with the navigation system.
Regards
Oreste.

Hello adamkara2525,
until one month ago I had the problem. After a car battery disconnection, the Dension Gateway 300 stop to work, the radio doesn't recognize the interface and the Extension CDC menu doesn't start. The dealer checked the interface with an Honda Jazz original radio and we had the same problem, Dension KO.
I decided to buy a cheaper Interface, "XCAR Link USB Car Interface", USB, SD and analog input, no IPOD input. Using this new interface, the problem doesn't exist, so now I am sure that the car is not involved in the problem. Analysing the wiring between radio and interface, it seem that the music pass through analog input. Considering that in this connector we have also Navigation System wiring, maybe that Navigation voice and external interface music use the same radio input in parallel mode. Maybe the external interface analog output, kills Navigation voice if the interface is switched off, so when radio or CD player are switched off.
Best Regards
Oreste

Can you get a Y adapter that you can plug the connects 2 Aux adapter and the Sat Nav connector?
