MP3 / WMA on DVD?

The Civic Executive has a DVD drive in the audio player, right? Does that mean it can also play MP3s from DVD-Rs? I could burn my entire CD collection on 5-6 DVDs and keep those in my car. Much better than doing the same with 30-40 CD-Rs.

No I don't think this is possible, only mp3/wma from the CD player I'm afraid.

The DVD drive is only for that nav disc, and it's in the glove box. I did try a DVD in the head unit (just in case) but it is only a CD player, sadly.

Thanks for your replies. Oh well...

Are there actually any car MP3/WMA DVD players in the market? Could the Civic's one be replaced, or is it a special custom model the Civic requires for certain features, such as adjusting the volume according to speed? Just wondering. No biggie.

I have actually been in contact with AUTOLEADS, and they will soon have an adapter for the stereo leads. This will basically allow a standard ISO type connection (Alpine, Kenwood, pioneer etc) , I guess then someone will make an adapter to turn the current stereo 'space' into a DIN size.
