Red face CD changer

This is my first post. Can someone please help. My single CD player has topped working on my 2006 Civic Type S. I've bought another from EBay which states it's a 6 disc changer. I was also going to connect an aux module so I can plug in my IPod or USB to it. They state that they don't work with OEM CD changers. All I can find out about OEM CD changers for my car is that the changer part is a separate unit, usually located in the arm rest. Is it a straight swap, and do the 6 discs go into the head unit, and if do, can I then add an aux module.

The armrest 6 CD unit is a separate unit.

You'd be best investigating a USB unit IMO.

Welcome to

Take a peek here for AUX in; In Car Entertainment - Civinfo Wiki

You'll likely need a Y lead to adapt to an OEM head unit or as mentioned - get a newer DDIN unit.

Thanks for this. So I think I've bought a standard head unit then, which I could attach a CD changer or a USB/aux module, but not both, unless I buy a Y cable. I've seen some USB modules on eBay for around 60. Does anyone know of a good one?

I had the xCarLink module (none BT) which worked well.
