Adapter Wires for Pioneer MVH-AV290BT

Hi, I've just bought the car stereo mentioned in the title for cheap at 60, I'm looking at the wire adapters to keep the steering control and was looking at the Connents2 CTKHD01 bundle that comes with everything. I rang my local audio shop to see there price range and they mentioned that I would also need an air-con control adapter which the bundle doesn't have, is this true or are they having me on?

It's true that you need the adaptor to keep the air con and clock working with the screen, however the bundle you've linked contains that so you'll be fine.

The Connects2 module keeps the climate conrol, clock and steering wheel controls working as normal.

Hope this helps!

That's great thanks, the guy was just saying the AC wouldn't work, after searching into each component more I noticed it was for the display on screen so he must have had it confused with that, once I realized that I went ahead and purchased the one off Ebay and it looks great.

It doesn't sit super flush but I can't expect everything, I struggled to get the unit to fit with all the extra wires behind it, I had to move things about until the unit fit back in but I'm happy with the outcome.

Managed to fit a reverse camera whilst I was doing it as well.

Getting it in with all them wires is a bloody nightmare, but worth it

Here you go, mine is the same as Trevs. The colour is slightly lighter and the texture is a bit rougher but it's not too noticeable. From what I've read OEM ones are rare to come by and are expensive if you do come by one. Unless your local car breakers has one and hasn't removed it already for the stereo then you'll have a hard time getting one that isn't like this.

That's actually not that bad. I actually like that they've kept with the textured look rather than the smooth plastic! Thanks again!
