Lightbulb A new multimedia (double DIN) adapter (Steering wheel, A/C, LCD adapter)

Hello

I have my civic hb from 2008 until now!

Although I bought another bigger car, I still like my civic hb and I use it frequently.

The only missing of this car, for me, was an android multimedia. Therefore I update my civic hb with an android device by using the adapter presented on the video linked below.

I hope you like it, too.

As I find time, I will upload pictures of the module , integration process etc..

By the way, I am using it more than 1.5 years

Sure,
The adapter is designed 2 years ago. It is still working without any problem, more that 1.5 years...

It controls and listens Honda HVAC (heating ventilating and air conditioning) unit. For this purpose, all electronic protocols of Honda HVAC unit is watched by using real time signal analyzers.

Honda LCD panel signals are also watched and LCD panel driver is generated. A few picture of development setup is below from old days...

It has an ambient temperature sensor to know real temperature inside the car.

It converts resistance of steering wheel buttons to standart of Pioneer, Sony and OEM multimedia devices

It provides time, and animated date (month is number and text), day of week...

you can ask more about it...

Brilliant !
Wished I knew how to do that !
I would love to know more about your adapter.
Do you think an adapter is possible for sat/nav version ?
You could do a lot more stuff with the video capable LCD screen of the sat/nav in addition of the alphanumerical HVAC LCD !
By the way, pictures from latest messages are not visible anymore

It'd be brilliant if there was a satnav version - I'd love to be able to upgrade the headunit without the faff of having to replace half the dash as well
