Removing front console for connects 2

Hi

I'm trying to install a connects 2 and going through the video on here. I've got to the point of removing the front console over the gear stick, but it seems to be properly attached underneath the steering wheel at the left hand side with a black bracket.

Can't pull it forward or release at that side at all.

Any tips?

It's an 07 EX Civic

Just to check - you have taken the plastic trim cover off from under the steering wheel right?
Been a while since I've done it but I'm pretty sure all that had to come out just to get the gear stick bit off.

Yeah, followed the video.

It's this part that is causng the problem. It seems to be properly attached to a section that can't be removed....

Have you got all of the fixings out? There's one really far forward near the footrest next to the clutch pedal which may not be immediately obvious. It may just be that you need to apply a bit more force to get it moving.
