Question Is a Sony Connects2 Realy £50?

Hi,

Upgrading my new 07 type s GT to look new again! Pretty excited, always wanted this shape of civic.

Just got a Sony XAV-AX3005DB double din

There's seems to be a few connects2 leads to choose from, do I need the Sony one or can I find a cheaper universal one that would still keeps the steering wheel controls working? It just feels like a lot on money for one.

Also, is there varying quality from the fascia's out there, reading about bad fitting. A recommendation would be good.

Cheers

Hi grizz , fraid that's the price but there really is nothing else out there that works as a plug and play set up ! Make sure you get a steering wheel control system as well don't forget the civic has a power assisted aerial from the back windscreen which will need power from the rear of your new unit, good luck

Cheers Maurice!

Will try and do this myself, there's lot of guides on YouTube to look at.

Do you know if all the fascias are the same in terms of quality?

You get what you pay for grizz , oem facias are expensive but they fit and colour match well , connects 2 ones so I've heard dont fit well and colour match bad, I got mine from the interweb the colour match is good it took some fetling to get to fit, you pays ya money and makes ya choice mate , take time fitting it , it is worthwhile and so much cheaper goodluck !
