3rd brake light (High Mount?)

Hi Guys!

A few bulbs have gone in my 3rd brake light and was wondering what do I buy, whether it's bulbs or replacement unit? Never changed one before on any of my last cars. Ive trawled the net for how to's but nothing. Any help appreciated!

I don't think you can change the bulbs within the OEM units, it's been a while since i took mine apart tho.

I see plenty on eBay for around 20.

Later face lift units have a longer light prizm if I recall correctly.

Or you could take out the failed guts and put in a brighter, longer unit that's cheaper too e.g. http://www.civinfo.com/forum/electro...lasers%2A.html

Good luck with fabricating your own PCB.
I had designed one as well.

The width was 1.4cm by 59cm.
Then the fab site changed rules so I had to change the design.

made it panellised on a 6x4.
Also had a few versions of it.

5 groups of 3 LEDs
3 groups of 5 LEDs
60 groups of single LEDs
was even working on an SMD version too.

I have a genuine one from the facelift model, so all led and fits straight in, even have the connecter as they moved it slightly.
