Thanks for that. Sounds simple enough although i'm a bit nervous about taking the under dash covers off.

Could the strip to the right of the gear housing be teased off enough to enable the gear housing to be lifted off without taking the dash covers off??

    Hi mate

Love the job you've done with the shifter gaiter and gear knob.

Got the Skunk2 myself and now notice that my OEM gear gaiter is splitting so probably need to get a new gaiter installed.

How easy is it to remove the OEM and replace with an aftermarket gaiter? Do you have a complete idiots guide as to how to remove the surround, gaiter and affix new gaiter to existing surround, as I am not very car-modding savvy?!

    All the best

That did it, thanks very much. I now have a fully working CoPilot but I'll have to see when I get on the road. Thank you very much indeed for your help, it was very much appreciated.:smile3:

Thanks very much for that but I don't need to now. I followed your advice and, having installed CoPilot on the head itself, I then moved the whole thing to a USB drive and, low and behold, it worked. I now have a working navigation system to replace Garmin. [smilie=ebil-thumbu:
One last question though - I cannot get the voice guidance to work, so have to keep watching the screen - not ideal. Can you give me any suggestions as to how to get voice guidance to work.

Ji Haltmer, thank you very much for the reply and for your efforts on my behalf. I installed both apps from a USB stick which I then left in the socket whilst I tried to run the app. I'd like to send you a photo of the screen when the apps open but I'm not sure how to do it. Can you help with this as it might give you a clue as to what is happening?

Good afternoon Haltmer, I hope I have come to right place for help with installing third party apps on my 2016 Honda HRV Connect system. I have successfully installed Google Chrome, ES File explorer and the Honda Permissions app. I have also downloaded Copilot and TomTom Go from the CMDroid web site but, although these appear to have installed correctly, neither of them will work. I have checked the Process and Package details and, as far as I can tell, they are both correct. I have read that other people have been successful in getting them to work so I am wondering if I am I missing something important. Any advice you can offer would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks a lot

Hi, sorry I should have stated, it's the i-dtec 1.6 (diesel).

Yeah there's a big rubber coil attached, I'm just not sure whether I need to detach it at the filter end, or the engine end - or maybe it doesn't matter. I'll try and add a photo when I get a chance. Thanks.

Hi there. Just wanted to say thanks for posting the guide to changing the pollen filter - really useful. I was about to attempt this myself, but was slightly confused by the metal support clip at the side - but your video has made it clear, and hopefully it will be no problem now!

I wonder if I could ask another question? I'll also be changing the air filter. I've searched and searched for a video guide, but every one I've found is for a different model or engine size, with a different filter.

It's probably very simple... I've undone the four clips around the edge, but the cover still won't really budge. I'm assuming I have to remove one of the big air pipes by undoing a jubilee clip to access the filter?

Hope you don't mind the message, and thanks again!

Thanks for that will keep in mind. I’m puzzeled as the car is at 90K miles (i probably do 8-9K a year), is it already at a high mileage? Alongside some wear and minute oddities on the body I’m unsure it’s proving to be a good purchase. It is said to have service history which i suppose I have to see when I test. But ultimately unsure if i should hold due to mileage??

Thanks fin, very kind of you to take the time to respond. I’ve never even driven an 8th gen civic yet I’m buzzing to get one next few days. The Ti looks so good + my insurance is coming to about £700 which is far cheaper than every other civic model (probably due to the rarity?).

In regards to the Ti, it is a 2011 nearing 85-90k on the clock, recently serviced and not failed any MOTs prevoously. It’s my first time buying and I have no mechanically inclined pals to bring along (taking my dad hes a toyota), can you suggest what to keep an extra eye on and on what to simply walk away? What kind of offer should I throw and what is a reasonable final price for a Ti since they are somewhat rare?

    Thanks again.

hi haltamer, you mentioned you were well inclined on 1.4l civics.

After a lot of thought decided to check out a civic 1.4l TI 2011, looks awesome but no idea about performance. Insurance coming out good too. What you reckon?
