I thought I did do enough research before committing to buy one but there defiantly always is something you miss I guess it's all a learning curve isn't it ! I'll definitely bag a flashpro up though seems worthwhile more pros then cons from what I've been reading.

Yeah this is pretty much spot on @TypeRfreak

20 minute data log trying to incorporate every type of driving. 2x 3rd gear pulls to the redline, Chris then changes and modifies this basemap based on your datalog and sends you revised map with all of the parameters changed.

Chris does do a good job there's no doubt about that - he did loads of testing on his own motor to get it right, and he does turbo kits too.

So then you get your second revised map back, upload and repeat. Continue this until you're on revision 5 and by then everything should be about as good as it can get, the way Chris explained it to me was that he tunes a car 90% of what he could do on a dyno, and the only thing that could be improved with a dyno is the peak WOT (wide open throttle) figures. IMO if Chris can tune the car to that level over the internet...for 150 I'm happy until I go seriously modded then I would go to tdi.

With a gruppe M and a catback, what's that extra 10% gonna be? And extra 2-3bhp absolute maximum haha?

He's also putting launch control and flat shifting on for me

Have you removed the back seats yet? You'd be surprised how heavy they are!

Declared them in my ins renewal so 1st Dec is going to be a good day. Extra 20bhp and 50kg weight loss

Intake and exhaust tend to be 210-220 depending on the health of the motor and the dyno.

I have gruppe m and milltek catback and estimate a peak bhp of 215 to 220 max. The biggest gain is in the mid range, where bhp increases could be up to 25bhp at specific rpm. I.e. oem at 5,000 rpm could be 155 bhp but mapped with mods could be 180 bhp.

Will look similar to this, plot has RRC too so won't normally peak as high.

That looks spot on muse, that 5500 to 6000 range can be felt in the cars pull.

Thanks guys it's appreciated I no its been repeated time and time again. Flashpro is the next mod to get for me as I've got hks and miltek so to get the figures up flashpro would be best option. Am i correct? still wanting to get gp kit first but reluctant to spend over 600 quid because could be spent on power mods !

Get a second hand flashpro for 350 and an Etune for 150 and you're sorted.

Yes do it!! You're right it does get repeated on the forum... but so what. Generally everyone on here is friendly enough.. most people anyway haha!

Get it done mate, your butt dyno will feel the difference to no end I'm sure haha!

I was also reluctant to spend dosh on how the car looks... mainly doing power first

Edit: yeah flashpro is your best bet to get the most power out of it. If I'm right in thinking the rsk doesn't make much difference without a remap but comes to life when it is remapped. (Don't quote me on that it's off the top of my head, ha )

I no I wish I never got hks rsk now to be honest it was when I first got the car and didn't no what I was doing .. (still don't no now lol ) but like I say from reading reviews and what not on here should of got something else but I'm sure I'll be able to work with it some how ! From loxy's fn2 build thread he used hks and did well from it if I remember rightly . I'm trying to do bit of both at same time power and looks but it's hard I'm whacking the overtime in at work though so all is good !

Fortunatly for me I need the back seats for passengers... it would be a slippy downward spiral if I started stripping weight out haha

Just me most of the time, we use the other family car if we're all going somewhere. I've removed rear seats, boot floor flappy thing, rear mats and got lighter alloys and will remove the rear parcel shelf this weekend when I install the solarplexius
Can you believe the boot flappy thing weighs nearly 5kg!!
