Easily the cheapest and best mod I've done yet but definetly the most difficult! Including stripping the rear plastics and boot that's a good 50-60kg extra savings since Jan

Got a few pounds left then I can look at bucket seats I can actually fit in for next year.
Looking at doing one more trackday this year to feel the difference.
Crikey, some weight saving gone off there!

As for track days, I might be able to fit one in last week of this month or mid-September?

I'll hang on for you then mate. Getting itchy feet but I can only afford one more so rather wait it out.

I noticed you like cycling, used to ride for miles as a kid and very glad I took it back up while I wait for my heel to get better. Prefer mountain biking myself and it doesn't feel like exercise to be honest (especially compared to the running / sprint training I do!) but when I check my tracker I've burnt well over 1k calories which is just an added bonus

I do both, just that my road bike is in a better state at the minute so gets the most miles. Certainly the most enjoyable exercise in my eyes.

The in-laws love downhill biking but I'll keep my extreme sports to just two as I'd rather not tempt fate lol

Another MOT pass with no advisors! Just ticked over 109k too so she's getting on.

Cat passed emissions and the tester complimated how "rapid" the car is when he delivered it back

No major updates but since walking and cycling everywhere these days the poor sod sits on my drive with only the odd blast out. Wish I'd done this before I racked the mileage up the other years but nevermind.

Still running perfectly, this is why I buy Hondas! Any ticking, knocking sounds on cold startup slowly disappeared once I moved from Millers back to Fuchs ProRace so I'm guessing my engine didn't like that blend for some reason?

Insurance renewal due and had gone up over 15% from 2016-17's premium so decided to shop around and gone with Flux this time saving £125. Had to write out the mod list again on the forms, felt like I was writing Lord of The Rings

Final weight loss off me alone came to 94lb / 42.6kg this year, stripped the rear and I plan to strip the front & AC along with some bucket seats ready for track days next year. Car feels like it has a few more ponies with the weight saving and getting around 300 miles to a tank to boot

Been a difficult year but it's been very refreshing not pouring too much into the car for once, it's spot on where I want it on the road. If it was track only then my only change would be a 3" decat back on it really, that's it

That a good weight saving, I did read a weight to power ratio once (something like 1 bhp for 3kg) so the car will have benefited greatly from that weight saving. Bust feel more nimble too??

Guestimating including my weight loss it's shed a good 150kg+ whilst retaining front interior / seats / AC etc An easy 50kg from the front, 70kg from the rear, oil pump, little bits like RRC, bonnet, 5kg+ per corner at least etc

Be nice to have my 180lbft of torque back to compare but it feels as nippy if not a tad more than when it did, almost like it's had a minor gearing change. Rear is much more lively, quite easy to get it sidewards with a flick now.

I'll likely be going back to 3" next year but waiting for a well priced one. £450-500 for a 3+ year old used one is a joke.

I'll likely fit one, even if it's a Tegiwa 70mm just for track use when I do the 5.84 final drive, now I'm not driving it much the noise and high cruising rpm won't be an issue. I'll keep the 2.5" with cat for road use as it only takes an hour to swap, 3x a year for track days isn't a big deal.

Back with a 3" again (TDi North this time).

Completely different to Solid Fabs' monster! I much prefer my old SF but even with only two silencers over the three on SF the TDi kit is SUPER quiet, especially on tec. Much better suited for a stripped out daily.

My plan is to run it over Summer / trackdays up until MOT time and swap back to my catted 2.5" Teg over winter. Either that or make yet another cat section but I'd prefer to keep this decatted for track use.

Full chat feels very similar but you can 100% feel that regained mid-range torque, breaks traction in third gear again, I'm just glad I have about 7 calibration files to chose from from over the years

Love cars, back box is knackered on the 3" I recently bought.
£200 for a new one or over £300 for a replacement from TDi.... yay

Had hoped the rattle was a heatshield, turns out it wasn't; the purforation tube has disconnected and rattling it's knackers off. Miss my fooping Solid Fabs man.... best exhaust I've ever had

Booked in next week to replace the box so it's now sat on my drive during this nice weather

Bugger, they joys of cars and modifying them. The Mrs asked the other day why I get so involved as I get so consumed and stressed of it all. If only they understood!

My missus is great, she's happy that I service her car. I told her about the cost of getting the car remapped. She drew breath but said it's my hobby/money

Joys of exhausts. I've replaced toda for oem now as nothing is as good as oem quality wise, noise and clearence.

Out on buttertubs last week for drive and snapped driveshaft. Ordered new 1 next day and fitted few days later. Alternator went few months back so fitted brand new 1 of them as well. The petrol head life...

I'm on my 4th / 5th exhaust? Don't mind a few bob here and there to touch it up if it's secondhand but pretty much the cost of the exhaust ontop as it's knackered is a significant blow.

I've PM'd the fella with no reply as it doesn't look like he's been online in a while. I'll put a claim through paypal for a reasonable amount. Granted I got it at a good price but I could've bought a brand new one with the repair costs, fuel costs and time I'm now wasting.

Driveshafts are my only real fear on trackdays tbh, it's a case of when will one go rather than if

There's one way you could save on an exhaust

These are the only two I could find mate.

I run a magnaflow 200 cell on my 2.5" Teg.
They come in various sizes but I'm unsure if they do anything over 200.
