Rindo's FN2 build

Hi folks,

Finally found some time to make this thread about my FN2

Bought the car totally standard in 04/2015 and this is how it looked like.

Found out it can be really practical while moving into the new house

My first mods was the ICE fitted about a week after I bought it. Not fond on additional displays in the car as it is made to be driven, so went for the classic look Like a good bass tho

Then it received a black sunstrip, wind deflectors and tints for the back windows.

Followed by SuperGT wheel spacers 15mm front and 20mm back.

Japspeed short shifter fitted along with a nice Skunk2 gear knob.

HKS RSK installed, had a K&N panel filter but wanted more sound.

After this things started to move faster as I wanted to do a proper service so added some new bits too.

New brake lines, pads and a FD2 pump added.

I have painted the calipers red.

Fake Mugen Oil cap (3.5 quid from china). Happy with it

Rare Japspeed catback obtained so this was the right time to get mapped too.

Some pics from mapping and the graph.

Suspension next as 1 of my dampers was leaking I have decided to get 2 new ones along with Eibach pro kit.

Bonnet and boot struts - nice finishing touches if you ask me

Future plans:

New set of tyres - probably Uniroyal Rainsports
FRS
Roof rust repair

As you can see it is quite bad. Going to Honda on next Monday for the warranty repair. Can not wait to see the result

The car is is stands now.

Started to think about the engine mounts. Is that what can rectify the car being a bit ''nervous'' when comming off the throttle as there is no balancer with the fd2 pump? Anybody done something like that?

a fair few of us are running engine mount inserts, they do help reduce engine movement and sharpen up the gear change. cant say it helps with throttle response in any way though but i dont have the fd2 pump kit.

only downside is the increased vibrations but they do settle after a while, i have all 3 but some only have 2 to cut down the vibration in the cabin.

Hmm interesting. I was looking for a way to settle it down a bit. So this will not be my solution then

It won't settle it bud, it's the joy of having less rotating mass.

I've tried to stop it and have reduced it greatly with the mounts, rigid collars and coilovers (stops the car being unsettled as long) but the jerk when lifting off and back on is still present to a degree albeit a LOT better now.

My courtesy machine and photos of the roof fixed. Took them 2 weeks. Looks minted now great job they have done, also they cleaned the whole car, waxed, sealed and maybe even machine polished? Can not see any of my old swirl marks.

What was the cause of the rust - surface chipping or leaks around the windscreen?

Glad its sorted - looks great now - better still that Honda did it for you.

Surely it was the crap seal they used causing the bubbling. And it was gradualy getting worse. Photos dont really show how bad it was. I dont even know if they fixed my old roof or replaced it it with a new one. They just told me your car is ready
