So I removed the arm rest out as the in car lighter stopped working. I connected the cable and tested it was fine.
Whilst parked and hovering the car I noticed 5 minutes later the Nav screen restarting itself.
I decided to start the engine and noticed it's not starting.
I'm getting the following icons flashing see attached. When I attempt to start the ignition dash goes blank.
12v proves nothing fella, only a proper battery diagnostic machine will tell you the health of a battery. Its most likely a duff battery, Aldi's and Lidls sell battery chargers for £13 and usually have them in, if you have one near you.
Ok, called breakdown to give it an inspection.
They came round within 20mins and said battery is on its last legs.
Mechanic gave me a jumpstart and after few secs the car jumped to life.
Sitting in the car and testing the eelctrics all seems to be fine. No flashing icons or errors.
He said I'll need to keep it running for an hour, not sure for what reason?!
Well when the engine is turned on and the alternator is spinning, it is charging the batter. He said leave it on for an hour due to the fact you end up taking more out of a battery than put back in when idling for say 10mins. So to be on the safe side leave it on for the given hour, and pop down to eurocarparts or something, give them your reg and they will get a compatible battery etc.
So I let the engine run for 20min and periodically increased the rev from 500 to 1500 to increase the recharge (not sure if that makes a difference!).
In between I turned the engine off twice and when when turning it back on it started instantly.
I tested few of the electronics and noticed the driver side window does not auto drop when button pressed for a sec. I had to hold it down. The passenger side window works as expected.
Have you managed to replace the battery? A good voltage doesn't mean the battery is good, if the battery has dropped voltage considerably then it will no longer hold a good charge.
But to get that power, you need a certain current x volts. If the voltage is low, you would need MORE current to create enough WATTS, and it cannot draw more, so it won't start.
Similar, if you have lots of Volts, but current draw is low (like little button batteries) you cannot get enough WATTS, and cannot start that car....
In case people can't understand batteries.... here's how to think of it....
If I get those tiny watch batteries, they're 1.5v... if I put 8 in a line, i get 12 volts.

Watts = Power... higher watt light bulb, brighter light.

I’ve had some battery problems. If I don’t drive for a little over a week, it needs to be jumpstarted. Is there a decent way to measure the charge in the battery?
I read on another website there is a chart that, on a rested battery, you can use the voltage to estimate how much charge is left. So 12.67 was 100% and 12.0 was 0% charge left. I take it that’s all wishful?
1. Something is leeching the power from the battery.
2. The battery is old and need replacing.
A new car battery can easily be left for over a month and still have power to start the car (Personal experience). If its dying at 1 week then the battery is still usable but will ultimately need replacing.

Is the seller located abroad?
I don't see any information about warranty...
