I used my 2.2 this am went for a 20 mile trip to check the clutch and yep its slipping booked it into dealer for monday (in for 3 days) just went to use it and it wont start.
All dashboard lights on as usual press button sat nav screen goes off as it would normally whilst starting but nothing happens. Well nothing apart from the seatbelt warning flashing and beeping which it doesnt normally do until i've started to drive.
Strange.
Is there a menu that may display battery voltage or has the seatbelt reminder point towards another fault
What are the symptons of a flat battery on the 2.2.
Years ago it used to be poor headlights and slow turnover.
Then it was clicking starter motors as not enough juice to solenoid
I have bright headlights but no response from button just a click from the button and a relay around the glovebox the HID lights dont dim when button pressed.
AA came out this am jump started. Then of to the dealer who did some checks said Batt terminal was loose so sorted that but whilst in could do with some software update so 40 mins doing that. Lets see how it goes.
Flat battery is a symptom of the faulty MICU recall. There are plenty of threads on this issue, Honda say that only 08 cars were affected but I believe its ones previous to that also
It went to the dealer who checked it over and found the Batt connection loose. But also did a system update which took another 40 mins to do ???
They did check to see if it needed the MICU. but it doesnt. That was the first thing I jumped on and the Lass on the service desk thought it may be the same.
I have since stopped using the auto lights and wipers just in case but will turn back on in a day or so to double check.
