Hello boys and girls,

I'm posting some pictures of my Milano Red 2008 CTR. I bought the car a couple of months ago, and apart from some little things (Type R decals, Senna sticker in the windscreen, Type R grille badge - not installed yet) I didn't have much time to do something "major"...
Now I've bought Staffs Deltic's 19" Rage alloys, and managed to put them in place even after a 350 miles round trip to Stoke-on-Trent (my back still hurts)... It was my Xmas gift (from myself!).[smilie=noeyedear-s:
I am also posting some comparison photos, so people can see the size difference between the original 18" and the 19" Rages. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures.

Next on the list:
-Grand Prix front splitter
-Xcarlink iPod adapter
-Brodit ProClip/iPod Touch passive holder
-painted calipers (red? silver?)
-etc, etc, etc... [smilie=fixtit.gif]

Thank you esse esse... These 19" alloys gave me yet another reason to admire my CTR...

Thank you Frostie! As I said, it's unbelievable the difference the Rages make! They're only 1" bigger, but it looks like they can swallow the original 18"s!

Thank you Harris! With all these mods, for me it will be Xmas in February!

Thanks Rowbo... For me (and probably for you to), Milano Red IS the best CTR colour... [smilie=ebil-thumbu:

If I enjoyed the little "run out"? Let's change the subject... I still have your CTR's noise (or should I say BARK) fresh in my memory!

Thanks Fat4y... Your Focus is also quite "tasty"!

I couldn't agree with you more, coste1l... Now I can't wait to get the GP front splitter... :popcorn2:

I changed from 18" to the Rages an I have to say they transform how the car looks. You do pay for it though with ride comfort! :p
Yes Steve, the Rages make the CTR look... evil![smilie=ebil-thumbu:
So the (lack of) ride comfort is a small(ish) price to pay![smilie=madking.gif]

Thanks, Stormrider! The Rages are, as we say, "de p*ta madre"!:perfect10:

Couldn't agree with you more, Mike! And although they do make the car feel a bit "stiff", the CTR still feels like a magic carpet ride compared to my last car (2003 Smart Fortwo Brabus)!

Some nice new pictures of my CTR

There we are, I´m posting some new pictures of my CTR. Still no further mods (apart from the Rages) as I am on holidays right now.
From the beggining of February though, I shall be back to the mods, starting probably with the Grand Prix fron splitter!

Happy day at the Lopez household! Just came back from Spain, and I had a lot of goodies waiting for me!
First there was the " :civinfo::typer:" sticker, and I can't wait to get it in my CTR... Then there was the "Domo Kun" bar-code sticker, and the all important Brazilian coat of arms.
Also, the "red :honda: badge" key back, a small detail that makes such a difference!
But the nicest goodie was my Grand Prix front splitter, bought from Cox Motor Parts... Can't wait to get it installed!

Today I finally fitted the "Type R" badge AND the GP front splitter. It was a bit of a pain as I decided to do it in my flat's underground parking! Space wasn't great and it was freaking dark, but I got one of those "headlights" from Halfords (brilliant idea, by the way), and now everything is in place!
I'm chuffed to bits with the splitter, and I think it really adds to the Type R's look. Specially with the 19" Rages, the car now looks MEAN!
Here are the photos, before, during and after! I hope you guys like it!

Thank you, neighbour! My fingers are still sore, but it was well worth it!

My dear friend, between the Rages and the splitter, I'm over the moon with the car! What a change!

The last addition to my Type R was a custom-made fuel cap sticker... I've done it in gel, to add some "drama" to it (I like the "3D effect" of the gel, and also the shiny finish).
In my opinion, it looks fantastic, even better in the flesh... They were not cheap, but I think they're worth every penny!

Thanks Nige! Plenty of plans, but not enough "time" (you know, "time is money"...)... I've bought the "Rimblades" (rim protectors) in red, but I won't be installing them until the weather gets warmer.
This weekend I managed to do the door garnishes in carbon-fibre film, and I'm over the moon with the result!

Wrapping the door garnishes took me about half an hour, 45 minutes top? It's quite easy to remove them from the car, putting them back on is a bit of a pain, but nothing extraordinary...
The standard wheels are long gone... I miss them sometimes (softer ride) but the Rages make the Type R look mean!

"Ride quality" and "Rages" are two things that don't make sense when put on the same phrase...
Jokes aside, in rough surfaces the ride quality is not as good as it is with the 18s... Every pothole sends a shiver up your spine, not because of the impact itself, but because of the risk of damaging the alloys and tyres...
On the other hand, the car handles as tight as a drum... If you like to "feel" the road, the 19s are definitely the perfect interface.
And there is also the aesthetic side of the Rages... I don't see ANY other alloys fitting the Civic as nicely as they do... They give it an agressive, menacing look!
In a nutshell: do I miss my OEM 18s? Sometimes... Would I go back to them, after having the Rages? NEVER!
