The hardness is also a rather worrying factor!

ScottM Anyone had problems fitting the inserts to the lower front mount?

I've got the inserts fully into the bush but can't get it back inside the front cross member as 1 of the inserts sticks out nearly 5mm past the collar in the bush.

Attachment 82621
This side is nearly flush.

Attachment 82622
Attachment 82623
But this side sticks out.

Attachment 82624
Inserts all the way in.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Quick help much appreciated, before a go and cut a chunk off the side of that insert.

Lunar Tick I know that Hasport in the US do a set too - about $500 IIRC

Alex-B Bugger

Looks like FEEL'S will be getting more of my business in the future then as they do a mount set, just very pricey

Lunar Tick I don't think they will Alex - we tried on mine and only managed to get one half of one mount to fit

Alex-B Any news on if these fit the FD2 yet?

parsco A bump for an amazing mod

I fitted mine (front 2) yesterday and the difference is night and day. What's more is that I had my front 2 engine mounts filled a few months back (in fact bought a pair of filled bushes from Stoney). These bushes act completely differently to my old silicone filled ones.

Vibrations in the cabin are no where near as bad and everything feels so much tighter and together. Changing gear is far more pleasurable. You really can't get your head round the fact that all you've done is pop some bushes in the engine mounts.

I haven't had chance to give them a good work out as the weather and roads are rubbish but I have no doubt they will exceed all my expectations.

Once again, this is something that should have been fitted when the car rolled out the factory.

Well done TDI

yarters Would it be impossible to get a set of these (just the 2) fitted on mine tomorrow?! I understand if not I know it's going to be a squeeze finishing my car anyway in 1 day!
If not then I'll take a set with me if you have them in stock! Cheers

tdi-north Yes they are a tight fit, therefore stiffening up the mount as much as physically possible.

They are only available in blue for the road, we can do orange and red but they denote different material strengths which, after testing, we have deemed too hard for the road.

Revs FN2 Yeah they're pretty damn snug.

THP Curiosity : are these insert a "tight fitting" in the original mounts or a simply "slip on" ?
