What car would you sell your FN2's for..realistically priced (sub £15k).

Sat on the fence about getting shut of mine :/

Bad Andy!!! Get off the fence its a bad place to be lol.

Seriously tho there is nothing sub that money that I would sell my car for. If I was to get anything else It would be a GTR or something around that level.

I will have my FN2 till it dies I reckon.

I've put mine up for sale tonight. Advert is waiting to go live on here.

I'm still not quite decided what for though.

  • £13-14k on a Megane RS250 Cup (there are quite a few around for £13-14k sub 30k miles if you look and are willing to travel)
  • £13-14k on a 2008 WRX STi 330S (the hatchback, bit of sleeper)
  • £9k on a 2005 WRX STi Type UK PPP (has the 2006 Hawkeye running gear being wider track, revised suspension and geo, Hawkeye interior and DCCD but it has the forged from factory 2.0 engine as opposed to the 2.5 in the Hawkeye and MY08 cars) and pocket the change
Test drives are needed.

Another one for the 335 club, the jump in price of running & servicing costs of the E90 M3 just doesn't justify it unless your planning to do some serious track driving (not to mention the 335 tuning options :worms:) . Theirs plenty of tidy 08 & 09 plates around the 15k mark at the mo.

Think id go for the Megan rs250 as it makes a great base car. Also maybe evo10 fq300, just the road tax is stupid and overall running costs double.

Final verdict for an everyday car Megan rs250, does everything the fn2 does but a better base to start with. Bit of a nasty looking interior and front end though.

I was thinking of this the past few weeks, getting rid of the FN and my EK.

I looked at E46 M3’s, however most within my budget would be 03/04 and higher mileage…plus as Stoney says, there are a fair few bams running around in M3’s now.

I don’t know what I would go for

Thinking outside the box. (beyond BMW, Subaru, Audi & Ford)

You can pick up a mazda RX8 (R3 version) for really good money these days. IMO they look great in the R3 kit.
They require revving to same degree as FN2. Very thirsty though.
Not driven one but similar performance to FN2.

Other thought is an Alfa Romeo Guiletta Cloverfield. lovely to look at, just not a nippy as FN2.

You would also have to deal with risk of flooding, making sure the engine is properly warmed up before switching the engine off and forking out about 1k for new coils, spark plugs every 25k miles. Really nice chassis just a shame about the engine. Great when it works but a nightmare to keep it that way
