Funny you mention that, the current plan is to peel the blue and go a 'Orange Candy Pearl' with black wheels am hopeful that can start this next month although I really love the blue it is started to become a common colour. Also it as been a year and its time to make the p-unit look like a different car again haha
We lost a large number of visitors to the forum due to that password fiasco

Looking forward to seeing the next colour instalment ...orange candy pearl sounds superb!

The short answer is no. My car is nighthawk black originally and there is now real garenteed way of matching the colour espeically as most OS paint finishes will have a top layer of lacquar which will make the colour 'pop'

Unfortunatly if you want a true colour match plasti-dip is not the material to use.

Yeah dip will stick to the arches fine, it will just be a slightly different finish as it is not as smooth as your body work

Its pretty easy to be fair, To notify a change of colour you should complete section 7 of the registration certificate V5C and return it to DVLA Swansea SA99 1BA. You will then receive a replacement certificate within two to four weeks.

The DVLA have previously not considered vehicle wrapping as a permanent alteration but have now changed the requirements to include vehicles that have had their colour changed by adhesive / vinyl wrap which includes Plasti-Dip.

Car looks great, something really different you have there!

Do you have any pictures of his S2K? what colour did he go for?
Thanks, I am really happy with it and think it is much better than the red. You are right you still have to tell the DVLA.

So far we have only done the wheels on the S2000 as we have been busy with customer cars, but the current plan is to either do it red or gunmetal grey. You can check out the progress of each of our demo cars via our website DEMO CARS - Pro Dip Car Liquid Wraping, Plasti-Dip Specialists

Yeah you have to tell the DVLA, although it is a temporary colour change/paint protection you have to write in pencil the new colour in your log book and send it to the DVLA with a photo of your car as evidence. You also have to inform your insurance company. Mine didnt charge me anything extra, although check with your insurance company first as they all have differing policies. Some of our customers for example have had to pay a £30 'administration fee'
