Some pictures of my new 2.2 Executive. The first two were taken at the dealer, when they fitted the extras. I already changed the interior lights to blue. It looks good with the foot well lights.
Actually, I don't know, why royal blue is such a rare color. It was love at first sight for me. But the dealer said, that mine is the second RB Civic they ever sold. And they are one of the biggest dealership in Hungary. I haven't seen any RB on the road either.
But I like it this way. It will be unique. Even more so, when I install a custom made body kit.
That Colour is beutiful, Could you post some more pictures kovee, in other settings or when (if) the sun is shining. Just to get a better view of the colour.
A bottle of touch-up paint is all very well. I got one of those with the Lex.
However, if you are like me then performing the touch-up with a small brush or cocktail stick never seems to work properly. I haven't got the knack.
I found the answer by scouring Halfords for one of those 4 part kits they do.
Being as Halfords don't do my Lex Montrose Blue I found that Rover Tahiti Blue was 'as near as d*mn it' so I got that. Tipped it out and replaced with some of the tin.
I now have a 'nib applicator' with the correct colour which I have found an easier way of getting a good job.
I have also noted that Halfords don't do Galaxy Grey in their kits so a similar ploy will be adopted when I can correctly assess the colour.
I thought about putting the paint into an airbrush. It will give a smoother surface than any brush or touch-up pen. The only problem could be the thinner, because some thinners can damage airbrushes.
We don't have ES or EX in Hungary. This model is called Executive here, and similar to the EX, except that the SatNav, voice control and HFT is optional, and has sunroof as standard. Maybe there are other differences as well, I'm not sure.
At last some pictures of a Civic in this colour!! Unfortunately in Holland this colour is not available. Else I would have chosen it as my two former cars had almost the same colour too.
Totally non-sensical when you consider how physically close together we all are - does the specification need to be nationalised? Especially for all you foreign types who drive on the wrong (same) side of the road.
I totally agree with you Miggins!! Fortunately I was able to have the leather seats as an option. According to John Smith leather is no option in Estonia. Does anybody know why certain options or colours are not available in several countries?
To reduce costs manufacturers often standardise and limit options - the variants Honda have would surely increase their costs!
Obviously for different climatic conditions, local legislation or even local tastes the spec could vary slightly. Leather may not be a good option in say a hot country - e.g Greece. (ouch . . . aircon too slow!).
To bad they don't have this fantastic colour in the Netherlands.
My car (1.4 sport) is black! I thought black would be the best colour for this car, but now I have seen this amazing royalblue....... wow!
Why is that, that in every country they sell different options.
How much do I wish I hadnt seen those pics lush colour wish I'd chosen that never seen one in it before it looks really smart fantastic
