Because of this, the fascia is cheap but the cables that you need are expensive, hence the kit comes out around £110.
No, mate. They are selling only the 2din adaptor for about €70, and the 2din adaptor plus the steering wheel control unit for another €70... (thats about £110)

Considering that the steering wheel control box has a lot more effort to build and manufacture than only the 2din adaptor (i know that is a bigger plastic and that need a bigger mold) i consider them to expensive :/ you can just 3d print this at home for a fraction of the cost if you have the drawings file. But it is what it is...

I posted the wrong ebay link

I was referring to this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Civic...53.m1438.l2649

(I know that this have the steering wheel controls... but still, only the faceplate costs €70 and it's a piece of plastic.
If anyone had the 3D printing file i could ask someone to print it.

migael I am thinking in installing one of this units too...
Originally i wanted only a parrot bluetooth but they seem to be very expensive so i am thinking in a aftermarket stereo.

foxy-stoat

All in now and all good !

Just gotta get the times to match up now, my brain will boggle if there are out for too long !!!

Just gotta upgrade the speakers and get a nicer gear stick and I'll be happy for a little while longer.

foxy-stoat Thats the one...just spent an hour fitting this but had to abandon as I didnt have long enough bolts to hold the head unit on to the plastic brackets that came with it.

Took the standard one out in 15 minutes with the help of the youtube video, plugged the connectors in and everything worked ok. Radio reception was terrible but I didnt connect the blue wire that came with the ariel adaptor so will give that a try once I have the longer screws.

Other than that its pretty good for the money, and the plastic surround looks OEM once the hazard switch and vents are fitted.

I fitted my dash cam and twin USB charger instead of the cigar lighter whilst I was at it.

Will post up photos when its back in.

SWC no issues but radio quite poor, but I never bothered much with radio in stock unit. You'll go xda image sooner than later too over stock!
Fitted my Pumpkin nearly a year ago and not looked back.

CRXtoFN2 Woah good good. The Pioneer units are deffo a good choice.

I'm asking for a good ddin dvd radio with a good sunlight viewable screen.

I've watched tons of utube's videos and almost every screen seems to darken out (looking at it from an angle/from the driver seat). LIKE eyeing into a black hole -so far-.
And throwing an eye into those 'testwinner' data sheets do not reveal any viewability tests or opinions. It seems it's not a topic to test it.
Is this 'view angle test' a weak spot at any display?
Oh, and I don't want to use a coverage or frame.

So please, tell me already

thanks in advance

Although when I bought it it was £225, theres a civinfo discount code for some money off, also I would look around on there as time moves on a tech gets better so maybe a better model on there now.
Thanks for the info may just order one of these.
