FergyCiv So eh yeah.... bought alloys!!

17Ē Pentas from an Accord Type S. Love the look of them.

They need some damage repair done to them as every single alloy has had a date with a number of kerbs so the are seriously kerb rashed.

Swithering on powder coating but put off by cost (£200 ish) but i would know they were done properly and would last ages or doing my self with wet and dry paper, primer and top coat finishing with a clear coat and sealing. I have done this before on a number of cars and results were good actually. Not perfect but really good!

Anyway, here are a few photos. (You can see the damage) but I think they suit the car!

Went from 205/55/R16 to 225/45/R17. Can feel the difference in handling. Boy are those Bridgestone potenzas noisy lol!

So far really happy, canít wait to refurb them very soon!

Swithering over new alloys but these tyres are still like tractor tyres so the sensible side of me says wait but the impatient side is like ďNO GET THEM NOW!!Ē Haha..
Could get a good price back for wheels with good tyres so recoup some of the cost of the new alloys, not helping lol

I mean I know what you mean with it being special but I think it makes the car look so much better and meaner!

Yes. It can either be bolted on as per the original but you'll need to drill your boot lid. Or many stick it on with Sikaflex/Tigerseal/etc.

FergyCiv So a break in the weather allowed me to get out and fit the new grille.

Have to say itís very straightforward to do. Took me max an hour.

Hereís before I started:

A few during:

And the grand reveal:

Iím extremely happy with how better it looks. Make a huge difference.

Car needs a good wash..

Next on the list are new number plates as these things are old and scraped up. Going to go for 3D ones. I think they look awesome.

Anyways, what do yous think? A simple mod but extremely effective Iíd say!

Iíll get some photos up when I get out of work. Havenít clayed the car yet so clay might shift it if it is dirt. I suspect itís where the flaps were sitting and over time has been rubbing away at the paint. But youíre right about easy remedy!
