flashy It's on, here it is next to others and against oem

flashy Decided to buy this beauty to go onto my Injen cai
I worked out that the filter I have on at the moment has a surface area roughly 65% of the oem filter, so I've decided to go foam, and fairly big. This now gives me a bigger surface area than oem, now the car is breathing better on exit I thought it best to give it as much air as it needs.

flashy Update. The car is where it should be on power (bum dyno) with the mods and remap, sounds and runs great. I think the next step is to improve the brake set up. I do have a set of brand new eibach springs waiting to go on but I'll get the shocks replaced at the same time, I'm not in a rush for that.

flashy My exhaust sounds similar to this now

flashy Ok, it's working randomly which makes me believe it's an earthing issue. With the car running I checked the brake lights, fine. Indicators, fine. Side lights, fine. Headlights, fine. Indicate left with headlights on and the indicator doesn't blink, it stays lit and the headlight goes off.
I took the wheel off again and got under the arch liner. The injen bolts at an earthing point for the lights etc. I undid it and cleaned around the earthing point. All back together and so far all seems to be working. Fingers crossed.

flashy I took the battery out for quite a while today when I fitted the injen (did a bbq in between) and now the key fob is not working properly . It makes a half hearted attempt at unlocking but I have to use the key. I've changed the fob battery but it's still the same. Do I need to go through the pairing process to the car?

flashy Quite pleased how the wheel centres have turned out, I need to refurb the wheels now
Less than 24 hrs to go until I have a straight through exhaust. I've kept the car below 6k rpm for ages now

flashy More golf tinkering. The hub centres were a little blistered and damaged so I took the centres out and binned em, rubbed down the hub plastic and resprayed the centres. Lacquer to finish. I'll give it a day or so then I'll stick the brand new VW centre caps on. Whilst the lacquer was out I touched up a scuff on my tegiwa carbon scoop.

flashy Sorted out the rusty calipers and discs on the golf, finishing with a clean.
