ITG panel filters

I am looking into getting one of these for my type-s 1.4 but I keep hearing horror stories about the oil from them killing the MAF sensor. Anyone here tried one and have you had any problems ?.

Just a shame K&N/Green or pipercross don't make one for this model.

(I take it is still only ITG who does)

Jack Sargent Do folk still recommend the panel filter? Any more opinions?

Fit a '3-Drive' Digital Throttle Controller : it gives a significant improvement to my 1.8

H.A.T Hmm for the money I'm not too sure. I'm glad to hear it is more responsive at lower revs, I find my car likes to lag slightly when in lowers. I know it's not a big engine in the car but us 1.4 drivers do like to try and make yourself feel like were driving a type r.

henrymc88 also to answer the K&N question have spoken to them a few times recently and their reply has now come back as:

"
Thanks for the enquiry,
Unfortunately there are no plans to manufacture a kit for this application.

Kind regards

andrea4414 With the Tri-foam sportin air filter the improvements are modest.
The engine noise doesn't change. Slightly improves torque at low revs.
It's certainly a necessary step for those wishing to re-configure the engine electronics.
The foam air filter is eternal. We must clean it every 37,500 miles, and not change it every 12,500 miles. It can be cleaned with gasoline, and then oil it.
The performance does not degrade as it gets dirty; the opposite happens with the standard air filter.
The improvements are not readily available. We must wait for a few miles of use, because the electronic control unit acquires new data.

H.A.T So what do you get for your 80, how well does it work? E.g sound, slight performance?

Or better yet if you contact directly ITG in England
ITG Air Filters - performance air filters for road and race vehicles

The air filter has been built by them.
Better if you organize a group buy.
Thanks have sent an e-mail
