Smig's Golf mk1 with 1.8 20v turbo conversion

Still keeping the FN2 as may daily driver, but recently bought something old school. Always loved these, and found a real clean one.

Absolutely no mod cons (forgot what non-power steering felt like), but the low weight with the engine conversion means it takes off like **** from a shovel.

A few pics

Superb mate. 👍

Looks in mint condition, can't beat a bit of diamond stitch leather.

Not really into the wheels but I know it's the dub way. 😉

Looks fab mate. Looks like it's had a nice tidy conversion as well.

Does it need anything done to it?

Taken the car out quite a bit recently. Last weekend saw 122 mk1's driving through the Staffordshire countryside. It looked awesome (if you like these cars lol)

Gorgeous! I absolutely love the mk1 and mk2 Golfs. The Mk1 GTi is just awesome and a timeless classic. I prefer the 1.4cl 4 speed in the mk2 though, not too keen on the mk2 GTi bumpers, the 1.4cl just looks more old school cool!
