New Honda Legend

Just received an informatin pack from Honda on the New Legend. A nice little book and DVD about the car.
A little expensive for me at 30,000+ but the technology that has been put into it is interesting, especialy the radar that checks if you are too close to the car infront and applies the brakes etc. Also has a camera which detects if you are straying out of you lane and corrects this by putting you back in the middle of your lane.

What if you are trying to change lane on purpose?

The lane control can be overiden. There are buttons on the steering wheel.

If you signal, it knows you want to change lane.

If you don't, it assumes you are wandering across lanes accidentally. Moral of Hoda Legend's story? Signal to change lane!

I think the version for the Japanese home market also has the night vision camera, whereas the UK spec (for the time being at least) goes without.

Autocar recently reviewed it at:

and liked it up to a point (3/5 stars)

Sure to be a rare sight on UK roads, namely because Honda didn't give it the "Aspira" name. Allan knows what I'm talking about on this
