My 2004 S2000

It has been a while since I posted, but here is Honda Nr4 on my driveway
I had to have an S2000.
Got hold of a 2004, it had a few issues but looks like new.
The car drives like on rails, really amazing! but leave it inside when it rains!
The engine is strange, it must grow on you;
Drives nice and economic until 3000RPM (8L/100km), it can drive at 60km/h in 6e gear. Nice.
Then you must push behind 6000RPM to get the Vtec, and feel the engine until 9000RPM.
So between 3000 and 6000 there is not so much to play with.
Also do not expect a turbo push in the back, the engine gradually keeps pulling without brute force.
Advise; do not buy the car for day to day use.
Buy the car to enjoy a sunny day with the top down, really amazing!
I got the car to replace our 2 motorcycles, hmm, but the motorcycles are still there... For the moment I do prefer the S2K.

Very nice!

I seriously considered one of these before buying the Miata, but so few were sold over here that nice ones are quite expensive.

I had an s2k from new in 2003 and kept it for 4 years, awesome car. I disagree about not being a daily driver. Mine was used day in day out

It's certainly reliable enough, especially as new, to run as a DD, but it's not exactly practical or comfortable in traffic.

It's empty B-roads in nice weather that makes these cars come alive.

Practicality was the reason I traded it in for the civic, I had my fun in it but then I took up golf, couldn't get all the gear in it. Great car though

Yet another reason not to play golf then.

Considering how old the design of the S2000 is, - it still holds up well and looks cool.

I wan to keep it as long as I can, and the fun starts when the top is down.
After a work week of CRV driving I need to step into the S2K
I agree, a dry winter day and the roar of the 9000RPM will be there...

I use mine on a daily basis and have no problems in the rain, love it to bits.. why would i want to leave it at home?

Aye, but you drive it like-you-stole-it at all times don't you.. you need to adjust dependant on the weather.

Your sideways technique in the snow is further proof of this.
