Cadwell Park Summer 2010

This will be my FIRST attempt at organising a Meet so here goes.

I am going to start and put together a meeting at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire.
This will be on a Cadwell Park Race Day Meet next summer.
Can't finalise a date yet as the Racing calendar doesn't come out untill March 2010.

I'll try to make it on a day when I am Marshalling, possibly a
BRSCC British Racing Sports Car Club race meeting.

Cost will be about £12 pp (under 12's free) and will be payable on the gate NO deposit required

Arrive at 8am on the gate. Park up, walk around paddock (get real close to some nice race preped cars. Single seater's and tin tops.

Breakfast in the Restaurant (next to the track).
Watch qualifying 9am till 12:30 ish.

Lunch time . Time and Weather permitting. If we get 20 Civic's or more there on the day I can't promise but I'll try to arrange for us all to have 3 laps in convoy behind the Course/Safety Car. There may be a financial payment required due to insurance etc.

Racing starts at 1pm ish untill about 5:30pm

Please see attachment if you want to see what you will miss if you don't come along

Many Thanks
John G
Lincoln

Hi worthy I may be thinks if you try to overtake the course/safety car on the parade laps, you may some what be in the Doo Doo!! and VERY deep at that.

May be it would be a good idea NOT to pass Sir in the front vehicle, unless you have a rather Large cheque book and PEN

Hi worthy

Car race meeting's normaly start mid April until Sept.

I'm going to contact a couple of racing clubs who hold meetings at Cadwell Park to see about getting permission to do the Lunch time parade laps.
This will be in the lap of the God's I will have to jump through alot of hoops to make it come off as Iwill have to contact Johnathan Palmer who is the boss of Motorsport Vision.

In any case if the lunch time 3 pals doesn't happen; we will all have a great day watching racing on this tight twisty circuit.
There is NO other circuit in the UK where spectators can get so close to the action.

Well you and other ciVinfo members will be watching, as I will be Marshaling.

Cheers John G

I'm up for it depending on dates of course. Looks like it could be a great day out with or with out a parade lap, but a parade lap would be a great bonus. Looking forward to some details in the spring.

Robbo you could come along, so long as you park your skoda/wheelbarrow around the corner from the civics

robbo sorry but didn'f read the second line of your sig appologies for that.
Your more than welcome to come, you can park where you like matie Cadwell Park has a really BIG parking area, it's all good fun, I like this banta.
Suppose I could try and fix it for to have a left hand seat in the course car.
I'm going to try and get Tony Sugden ex Touring car driver from the 80's if he will drive the course/safety car for us, as that would really make it a great day.
