Jimbothemagnificent's magnificent EP3

Hi chaps, I've been lurking around in the shadows for a while, thought it was time to get a thread together.

This is my EP3, I've had it a couple of years now and I have feelings for it that are weird and .... deeply confusing....

Engine:

Unsilenced Sportex 2.5" b-pipe
M2 sport back box
ITG Maxogen intake, custom blue with cold air feed.
Silicone intake and breather pipes
Blue billet battery tie bar.
Blue billet oil cap
Custom Domo manifold cover
Tegiwa solid shifter bushes.

Handling:

Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2s 215/45/17
Eibach sportline springs
Eibach camber arms and bolts with FRSU
Brembo slotted discs and pads
Hel braided brake lines
Tegiwa brake stopper

Interior:

Katana door pulls
Samurai armour center console
Custom embroidered red mats
New Pioneer stereo
Spoon tax disc holder

Exterior:

Debadged
Jazz washer jets
Calipers painted blue
Heko wind deflectors
Grill painted NHB
Fog light ducts fed to intake

Plans:

Blue wheels
Repaint rocker cover (Spoon yellow maybe)
Lots of anodised engine bay goodness
K100 and remap
Uprated suspension bushes
Uprated engine and gearbox mounts.

And just because....

Thanks guys! RevDonkey bud, I know, I know. I just like being a tease.

First update, and it's bitter-sweet.
I took the front wheels off today to refurbish them and found a broken droplink on the front right. This will be the fourth new droplink since February! I'll have a look for some aftermarket uberlinks.

On an awesomehappyepicjdm note, sometime in the next 6-8 weeks a brand spanky new genuine Bride seat will be arriving on my doorstep. Which is nice.

I've got some big plans for the interior. If anybody has experience of making custom carpeting any help and advice would be much appreciated!

The car had an excellent day of pampering in Automek last week.

New laser iridium plugs.
Engine flushed, oil and filter changed.
New front droplinks.
Valve clearances adjusted.
Engine and gearbox mount inserts fitted.
Timing chain checked (clean bill of health, thank ****!).
Brakes given a good going over.
Nasty-ass rotten heatshield removed.
Most importantly - Free sticker!

Really great place with excellent and knowledgeable staff, I would definitely recommend them.

Then blue happened:

A couple of things happened recently.

The car went on a diet, because that's easier then me going on a diet. It won't be staying bare metal, plans are afoot.

Then I got all eccentric with my wheel centre caps. Yeah, it's dumb, I know.

With just the one Bride, I'm considering changing the name to "Jimbothemagnificent's monogamous EP3".

Or if the other one is replaced with a Sparco it could be "Sparcy and Bride, defenders of the Hondaworld".

I remember watching Fast and the Furious when I was about 16. In particular I remember the scene in which the 2JZ Supra arrives on the back of a flatbed, the solution being 'overnight parts from Japan'. Instant tuned car.

That's not really how it works in the real world. I ordered some things in april, I'M STILL WAITING. Gah.

Any day now (as it has been for the last month) two new seats should be arriving, one red Bride Exas and one black Buddyclub P1 Redline. Two harnesses, one red and one black, should be arriving at the same time, and I've got a DG Industries harness bar to hang them over. I'm planning something special for the bar, watch this space.

In other news, I got a Skunk2 billet gearknob, it's great. Which is nice.

Probably, it's been doing the rounds, I got it off Shorty. I think it needs to be known as the Civinfo trollop-knob.
