Goodbye Faithful Civic

Here is my Superb EV1, Possibly one of the best cars i have had to date (Of-coarse second to my ALFA 146 2.0TS )

Car Has been super reliable getting me to work 50 mile round trip 5 days a week for the past Year.

Now reached 138.000 miles and still achieves between 38 - 44MPG

Getting traded in tomorrow (hopefully) for a new civic type S GT 2.2

Anyway here is some pics before she leaves.

Having owned the pre-facelift type s 2 ltr a decade or more ago, the car I wanted before my present 2.2 was the face-lift version. My EX 2.2 came up before I found the right type s 2 ltr. Not been too dissapointed ! (the pull of the 2.2 motor is in vast contrast to the ivtec which in mine kicked in at 4k revs)

I presume the iVtec is similar to the newer 1.8, Good blend of performance and fuel economy.

From what i read it still the K20 type engine compared to the Type r but with different cams, inlet manifold, map etc and was designed for fuel consumption. Still Not bad @ 150BHP.

Some might say a poor mans Type R, but i say best all rounder
