Type R parts to non Type R Civic

Hey guys

Just looking to know if anyone can point me out to any information on the previous gen civic.
My uncle has one, and it is the 1.6, 3 door.
I have currently got my hands on a Mugen spoiler and Mugen front splitter...but from actually looking at his car, there is no way of actually connecting the splitter to the bumper.
So my guess is it needs a type R bumper What I need to know is will one be able to fit to a non type R?

Thanks for any info even if it is a long shot
^_^

You might find something / pictures etc on the Type R forum which covers the EP 3 model and earlier models.

If it's a 1.6 type R then it's an earlier generation.

As there are so many models you need to be sure of what you have and what parts you have and what they are for.

It is not a type r, it is a 1.6 SE.

I have found out how to get the splitter fitted, its as I thought, I need the full type r bumper, remove the original bottom splitter and replace with new one.
Or the other way that was suggest, get original bumper and make big holes to fit mugen splitter and bolt on LOL!
