Back end all over the road

Does anyone know what could be causing my car to feel like it is skipping across the road when its bumpy and turning corners? it just feels like it slipping on on ice for a couple of seconds I have a Honda Civic ep2 2005 plate. Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem or knows what could be causing it.
Thanks in advance.
