Airbag recall

BBC News - Japan carmakers to recall 3.4m cars over airbag defect

UK models affected include Toyota's Corolla and Yaris, Honda's Civic, CRV and FRV models, and Nissan's X-Trail, Patrol, Almera, and Navara.
Edit: The cars were sold in the years 2000-04.

Anyone had a letter through?

That's not good. No letter as of yet.

Just reread the article. Affects models manufactured between 2000 and 2004, so shouldn't affect the majority of peeps here.

Still a nasty blow to consumer confidence in Jap manufacturers though.

Wow.
A complete failure to read on my part as I assumed it would refer to the newer models.

Mods - move this to the 7G section please?

Not that I've ever been aware of. And I'd need to create a 7G section first

Can't remember where I read that, I think it was when I became a supporter. There is a previous Civics section.

It does say that you can, but I've no idea how.

As for the previous Civics section... well I've been here since 2009 and I'm still learning

'Previous Civics' seems the best location.

Airbag recall heading in the 9G section had me thinking of dashboard removal until I read it

  • Useful and exclusive DIY info.
  • No external advertisements.
  • Your username appears red and in italics.

Handbags down ladies, it has nothing to do with Civics at all.

The latest from Honda this morning is that it is in connection with some CR-V's from 2003-2003 and a 'small selection' of Streams and Jazz from 2001-2003.

Clarification to follow later in the day/tomorrow.

But I've already pre-twisted my panties in anticipation...

So what I'm hearing is that between the BBC not reporting this correctly and my stupidity, this is almost a completely pointless thread.
