Looks good.

PS: Should have had a NHB instead of the silver though.

Very smart... don't make any changes! Have you got one the same size as the current one, or very similar so Pottsy could do a simple change without messing with it.

Looks very smart though

The height is the same, but it's a bit wider ... the one now is 490 pixels, the one i made is 619 pixels...
I could mess with it a bit more to maybe cut it down to 550, but smaller though...

I love it - would be nice to get a Type-R at the top of the page

It looks great, and you are right Milano is the best colour for the CTR.

rcsa,

There are elements of that that look very nice. I'll do some work tonight (I'll send you a PM).

The width has to be less, because the site has to fit nicely on a 1024 screen. The Civic numberplate has to be reversed, and I'm not so sure about the motion blur on the main logo. But a mix of the two would be good.

Yeah the cars must be kept in my opinion... they look ace.

Have a play tonight as you have said - hopefully we can get something up there soon

PS... look at my suggestion haha!

Here is my thinking:

From the very beginning this site was designed to be the very antithesis of the appalling drivel you find on many forums. If I go to a site to get information, I find it difficult to do when 90% of the posts are arguments / mud slinging / text speak / general abuse / 17 year old racing boasts and so on. So here I tried to use many tools and techniques to create a place that was grown up, useful and devoid of the usual rubbish.

The basic formula included:

  • The name. Civ Info. Not CivNutters, CivIdiots nor CivRubberBurners.
  • The style. Deliberately conservative.
  • Signatures: No great big childish banners to distract you from the content.
  • Avatars: No animated avatars to distract you from the content.
  • Rules: Zero tolerance on rudeness, personal insults, illegal stuff and text speak.
  • Illegal Stuff rule: Designed to make it easy for the users and the mods to know what is and isn't allowed - but there primarily to stop "I burnt off a CTR at the lights in my Saxo".

The racy motion blur logo would not be consistent with this philosophy.

If you see what I mean.

Agreed. Many forums on the web are extremely childish, at least this one is different.

Agree 100% with Pottsy.

Also: Do like the Milano Red and NHB cars in the logo.
